Yercaud Yercaud

It is situated in the Shevaray Hills at a height of 1,515 metres from the Sea level. Brightly coloured idols catch the right of the travelers, situated at the leftside of the road just before the road begins to climb the mountains. On the way up the winding hill road with its 20 hairpin bends, stop at a wayside selling packets of clovesand pepper. 7km from the lake is the Servaroyan Temple.

Kodaikanal

Kodai, Kody or just plain Kodaikanal is an idyllic gateway for regular tourists, for trekkers or even honeymooners. It is a hill station placed amidst the folds of evergreen Pali Hills. The beautiful tourist spot offers a panoramic view of the hills. The Kurinji Andavartemple, dedicated to Lord Murugan, which provides a splendid view of the lofty hills embrace Kodaikanal. Some of the popular picnic spots in the resort, are the Green Valley View, Pillar Rocks, and BearShola Falls.The rarely found Kurinji flower is also found in plenty in Kodai.

Dottabetta Ootacamund

Ootacamund or Ooty the queen of southern hill resorts of India is a hill resort standing at 7,349 feet above sea level. Udhagamanalam (other name for Ooty) spreads over 36 sq.miles and the temperature ranges from 25deg. Celsius in summers to near freezing in winter. Ooty lake and the Botanical Gardens are the two favourite tourist spots of the visitors. Paddle boats or rowing boats are available for boating enthusiasts. The Marquis established the Botanical Gardens in 1848. The gardens lie on the lower slopes of Dodabetta peak, the highest point in Ooty.

It is situated 13km away from Munnar lies Mattupetty, at an altitude of1700 m.above the sea level. The Indo-Swiss DairyProject with the green meadows and the exotic cattle and the rose garden also attracts tourists.

Deviculam

It's Situated at 16km southwest of Munnar, this picturesque location offers a unique feature-clusters of slender red and blue gum trees.

Araku Valley Araku Valley and Borra Caves

Araku Valley is at a distance of 112 km from Visakhapatnam, at an altitude of 3100 feet on the Eastern Ghats, filled with lush water falls. Very soothing to frayed nerves, very relaxing, and the call of the mountains make ArakuValley a place to be visited. The climate too is salubrious and the tribes who reside in the valley make it an interesting place. The Dhimsa dance,an age-old folkdance is still performed here during 'Itika Pongal' the famous hunting festival in April.

Chamundi Hills

A symbol of victory of Good over Evil is a 335 metre landmark with 1000 steps. Half way up along the stone steps is Nandi, a majestic 4.8 mts monolith. Atop the hill is huge statue of Mahishasura, the demon and a temple of Goddess Chamundeshwari, can also be reached by driving 13 Kms.

Kemmanagundi

Just 55 kms north from Chickmagalur town in Karnataka is Kemmanagundi, a scenic hill station on the BabaBudan range of hills. Kemmanagundi,at a height of 1,434 meters is surrounded by thick forests and a salubrious climate the year. It has beautifully laid out ornamental gardens and panoramic view of the mountains.
